Anyone used the the Leica flash on their rangefinders before?

Flash for street? the famous one would be Bruce Gilden...

Basically, I do not think RF needs to use flash unless you know exactly what effect you are trying to achieve....

Also for Leica flash SF58, the only reason to get that is for TTL. Do you really need the TTL?

Actually hor....any cheap flash that can be fired by hotshoe or connector cable will do. Even Metz flash can work

some like the shock and WTF look, others use flash at night to freeze subject and create fizzy fuzzy background... :faint:

Its a different level altogether, use it well and the impact is tremendous!

Oh yes, of course mr Charlie Kirk... Lawyer turned banker turned photographer! A former colleague actually... we even played footie together once at yokohama (he sucks!) :bsmilie:

Seriously, he's doing well... getting featured on street reverb, making it at format derby etc etc!

I had a sneaking suspicion that you may have had Mr. Kirk in mind when you wrote "some like the shock and WTF look" :bsmilie:

Its not a surprise to learn you're former colleagues :)
