Anyone seen the Olympus FL-600R flash yet?

That's why I was willing to pay 350 for the grip, Singapore market small, close one eye. But to sell the flash for 590? It's not even a replacement to FL-50, Olympus SG is insane to price it at that kind of price. Anyone wants to join me and email them here: Contactus | Olympus Imaging Singapore

Let them know how we are very displeased by this nonsensical and absurd pricing. Olympus has international warranty so we're not threatened by their ridiculous pricing.

Aiyah wat for? Oly sg definitely knows the internet price. They still choose to price like tat. I thk faster to juz buy overseas or thru internet.

Hi guys,

Im interested with the flash but I can't find any user review or video on it recharge rate n performances.

I would like to ask if anyone know if the flash can support blast rate shooting from my Panasonic G3.

Currently using the FL36, the recharge is Slow for action/motion capturing.

Please advise. Thanks

The price is insane in SG.

HK offical price is only HK$2490 while US official price is US$299.

Wonder if i should pick up one in TW, approx S$450...

You got my vote. I don't really get the pricing here in S'pore in general...

If you agree with me, just post in that wall post. Don't think they will change their stance, but no harm trying.

Not surprised. Online shop price for 300mm f2.8 is >$23k.

Wah thanks for the support people, I hope more people post in my FB wall post to show that we SGians want to support the local Olympus company, but find it very hard to do if they continue doing this. The grip is 350, I believe most close one eye since the price diff is like 30 only. But 200 price difference is ridiculous even for local standard. If Olympus can be competitive with overseas prices for their lenses, why not the FL-600R?

The problem is this flash is not an expensive premium item leh. :( The FL-600R is like a spiritual successor to the FL-36R.

Yesterday night I saw the price in Olympus' online store is even $700. O_o

any experience with other flashes? like the Nissin i466 for MFT? thinking of getting a gd flash, the olympus ones seem real expensive.. and big~

Based on the online prices, this set costs >$25k. Shocking.

Buying the FL600R from a store here in Shanghai later... 2000 RMB, around SGD400 :)

It's my first external flash though, so I probably not qualified to give a review on it...

From Olympus Imaging Singapore on Facebook:
"Dear valued customers, we thank you for your feedback and comments, and we are now in the midst of reviewing the price for FL-600R flash."

Wow, I hope it's not just a joke. Maybe they will adjust it from $698 to$688 to be in line with the OM-D pricing. :-P

At least we tried, and we made our voices heard. :D I am quite happy that they responded. Let's see how it goes before we make any jokes. :D

Two more days left, wonder if I should pick up one in Taiwan.

Sad day for me, lost my original 12-50 lens cap.
