I remember across the road Hill Street hawker centre ground level, there was a pig intestine soup stall, very nice and tasty soup. Anyone knows if it is still somewhere out there?:sweatsm:
i looking for the plum juice stall where they sold the syrup in the bottle...i know the 2nd floor char kuay teow is at chinatown mkt n the duck rice is at tekka mkt now...:)

Well, I always remember the beef noodles, will definitely eat it when I go there. The food court is right on top floor, very spacious! Bought my first PC there from South Asia... a XT 8088 computer. 16KB of RAM!!!! $1999, no HD, 2 5.25" disk drive. Can play digger, pacman and etc!

20 yrs ago, so many nude pics in the toilets...and markings of P*P (pay and pay):bsmilie: all over

That's not John 3:16. They were on the side. My uncle had a Singapore Pools & Toto store on 2nd floor, directly about them.

i remember eating the fried chicken rice

now what is their name?

corona chicken...

If you're referring to the one on the top floor, I don't believe the name is Corona, but I can remember that they served lemon chicken rice with a fantastic chillie sauce that had some bite. It was my favorite stall.

Try the Telok Ayer/Amoy Street Food Centre, someone told me that they had moved there.

Its the same Funan building, but it went through a few major renovations in the last 20 years.

There used to be a corona fried chicken opp Funan Centre (used to be called Columbo Court). It has since been torn down.

Not sure if anyone was formerly on BBS (before Internet started). I'll mention a few things and see if anyone can recall. :)

1. FidoNet
2. BRE (online game)
3. Operations Overkill (online game)
4. RA (Remote Access BBS Software)
5. Frontdoor (Mail Exchange BBS Software)
6. Commo (client software to connect to BBS)
7. 2,400, 9,600, 14.4k modems (anyone use this before??)

Micro Village in Funan brings in the USRobotics modems. Prior to that, most of the modemers (BBS Users) bring in directly from US or through some kind of mass order.

I think the BBS scene went dead in 1995 when SingNet appeared. So, those born after 1980 may not know what is BBS. It's the father / grandfather of Online community / communications!!!
