anyone own Sony Clie?

hi all

Thanks for all your input - i've bought the sony T665. Slimmer than NX70 or SJ30.

Didn't want to get palm cos its way too expensive compared to Clie.

Palm Handhelds are no longer innovative, and overpriced. CLIEs are a much better buy if you want PalmOS.

Hey, isn't SJ-30 supposed to be smaller?

Actually the street price of TT is around $800 now. I think it's quite a good buy and not seriously overpriced (if you compare it to NX70).

NX70 ($999):
- 320 x 480 screen
- MS + CF WiFi slot
- built-in novelty cam (640x480 max)
- bulky

TT ($800):
- 320 x 320
- built-in BT
- sleek

You need to justify the $200 price diff among these 2 OS5 devices.

That $200 more gives you the novelty cam, MS + CF WiFi slot, MP3 playback, keyboard, higher res screen, quite a number of added features you know?

And for about the same more, if you go to "the dark side", you have a PPC which can do quite a bit more.

the SJ-30 is shorter but thicker than the T665. So the SJ30 felt a little bulky in my hands

SJ is newer low end right? if u putting in purse then get something slightly more useful or value-for-money lor, slightly heavier shd be ok... not like it's a eos 30+grip+70-200

how about the tungsten? it's very nice

oh another reason why i bought the T665 instead is cos it has a faster processor & I read from spug.net that it would help when playing games lah plus got MP3 player built in as well

dun need those frills lah ;p

thot the T665 would be a good compromise between the SJ30 & NX70

btw, its more than $200 extra cos i paid $604 for the T665

heheh. Anyway, I'd take the 665 over the TT anytime. Nevermind not having the StrongArm processor, OS 5 or BlueTooth. Seriously by the time I pay for TT, I can buy PPC...

Don't forget also that the NX70 runs on a 200Mhz processor compared to T|T's slower 144Mhz processor. The T|T also has an issue with dust collecting under the screen.

I think the best thing about the NX70V is the MS slot if you also own a Sony digicam. I have a F717 and the NX70V and it's quite cool to be able to view photos and videos shot with the F717 directly on the NX70V but inserting the MS from the F717.
