It is the importing of the video and converting it that I do not know of. Pretty much you are talking to a novice guy. I am able to meet up tomorrow to let you see the file. If you can help me convert on the spot will be more than awesome! Let me know.... =P

Let me re-phrase: What do you want to do with the footage you shot? For example, import into a Premiere, Final Cut Pro for editing or upload unedited to youtube?
