Dude (since I normally quiet know how to address people who choose to be anonymous)
How did I arrive at some preliminary conclusions ?Deductive reasoning and experience talking to many clients. Logic normally works very well with an understand of human mind sets. Note I used words implied and my opinion this in recognition that I could be wrong in my conclusions. Never have I said TS can or should not post here those I believe is your misunderstanding of what I wrote.
No cursing was done - a friendly warning that most people do not know is Thais can become very violent in arguments, many cases where simple arguments lead to one party killing the other. A friendly warning was given. Most popular perception of Thais are they are very polite and gentle; that is the public face most people see. A friend of a friend did not know this and got himself kill in Thailand; it sad I would rather warn people about this than keep quiet about it. You seem to have this thing about curses ? Are you so thin skinned that every remark upsets you so ? However it may be the vibe here are getting hot and heavy, so may the peace of the universe come to be within you, go forth a happy, peaceful person knowing that the universe love you. Or CS way is to - go forth buy more gear, travel more to take pictures that too could happiness.
Some small points which you may have over looked in your personal prague experience is this that Prague is the capital of what that Hungry, Most talents in creative tend to come to capital cities that is where people who have jobs are and can pay live. It is also a place where creative work get more recognition. Inshort a better class of photog can be found there. If you told me you located photographer in some smaller town there it would have been more of an apple to apple example to TS's situation. I advise TS widen his search to include Bangkok where the talent would normally be being the capital city of Thailand but did not explain why. I see know I should have explained fully for a clear understanding.
Well as I said destination wedding is a sub speciality and the people who do tend either to do a lot of research or travel a lot themselves. So while using a local may result in better locations it is not the only thing that matters- however the crux still is that you need more than a location to create a pre wedding set of pictures. As TS said you need better pre shoot planning , get the angles and perspectives correct, know how much environment to include and exclude..... if you shoot professional the basics all ways the same it is how you blend the elements together that make a difference from one photog's work to another. It is almost never only about the new lens I just bought, or the new body I just bought is going make better pictures for me. I am most sure that you understand these points.
TS did not state exactly what sort of style he wanted. However he may need to understand that the style of a urban shoot and that for a beach area tend to be different. There could lie the difference in customer expectations and the frustration in not being able to find what he wants. Beach resorts lend themselves more to a beach type style - more laid back, less posy, less dramatic , more nature themed work until the sunset period then it get dramatic as you can make it. It has a highish keyish, ethereal vib to the pictures. Go do your home work on what style of wedding pictures arise form a beach/resort setting - it is a world wide thing. It is understandable you may not know this since you do not shoot commercially- again this is educational and not a put down.
