with the release of 5D MK2, I may consider to adopt 2 system. To me, have a chance to use Legendary 5D series is something I am looking for. Will wait for more report and decide later.(No hurry, I can wait

Last time I used to think Canon had a good time thrashing nikon with lower prices for lenses and bodies, and much better iso performance, higher MP counts. These are good reasons for ship jumping.
Then as D3, D300, D700 and D90 were released... WOW la. Nikon switched to cmos sensors and iso performance improved dramatically. And true enough, mp counts aren't the most important things..
Beat this Canon -I got a Nikon 16-85mm VR ED for $880.
Canon equivleant 17-85mm IS.... the review is lousy. You see many people letting go.
Or if you have 5D can get the 24-105mm L.
At least nikon entry level lenses has more "high quality ED glasses".
Canon must get the expensive L.
Lol. Used a borrowed low-end Canon EOS to take photos during a farewell dinner. Then tried my friend's D60 and now sold to Nikon. First DSLR will be D90.
One more thing to pull you over to Nikon's every growing ship. Join the Nikon Club and get 3 mths warranty free. Bet ya that Canon does'nt do this to try and keep their customers.
Yeah its great to know that any second hand old Nikon made lens would work on your new D -series DSLR. Worse come to worse just use MF.
CCD technology has reached its threshold so the switch to CMOS was inevitable. at least now nikon doesn't have to depend on sony for the sensors.

Canon provides free coffee and pretty receptionists at their service centre. bet ya nikon doesn't provide this to try and keep their customers

btw, i am a nikon user for cams and canon user for printers.
I think Nikon doesn't need to.. The 18-200VR is the first time I had to step into NSC in my 20 years of photography. It's Nikon all the way for me because my dad already did the groundwork. He never had good experience with the other brands and finally stuck with Nikon.
Same.. I use Canon printers also. ;p But I'm using Fujifilm papers.
i've only been to the NSC once, to have my camera's sensor cleaned. came back with a clean sensor, dirty viewfinder. zzz never been to CSC, only heard about it haha.
So, i wouldn't know about the receptionist heh :bsmilie:
i have used paper from canon, epson, HP, konica, kodak and sepom. the worst i used was fullmark. after 72hrs still wet to the touch.
currently only using canon, epson and sepom paper.
Try the Fujifilm. But you will need to profile the paper.
sure. will do that. i intend to try ilford as well.
