care to share your experience?

I understand that they are selling grey sets but should your gear have any issue, you can bring it to the respective local service center to have it fixed and they will reimburse you the amount you paid.

sounds alot better than many others selling grey sets as they will only send your gear back to the country of origin.

what do you think?

I'm considering getting one of their lenses on offer... will tell you more about it.

Anyone else have purchased from them care to share your experience?

I purchased nikon D7000 last week and its quite good, their prices are cheap and they give discounts!

Bought a Tamron lens from TG, transaction is fuss free and the Boss Tony is responsive. Overall all a good buying experience. :)

how about the reimbursement part?

This is the main issue right now. Techogadget just slashed another chunck off their sigma lens over this weekend as limited time offer.... price wise DDE is losing out liao...

DDE yes, technogadgets no.

anyone have any experience with claiming form techno gadgets?

Dun need to ask. If got one it will be a big news le. Be it succeed or failure. So far no one seems to have problem at all leh, that's good too I guess.

its still better to hear it from someone ma haha. have you gotten your stuff from them yet?

it is quite good if no one post here about some complaints in TG, meaning the transactions with them are of good quality, for me, im satisfied with the D7000 i purchased with them, yes they are in grey market but as long as the item is in good shape, you also have to take care of it so you will not have a problem, it is still up to you how you use and take care of you items purchased in grey markets, yes lets say you have 3 years warranty though you are careless in using your camera, its pointless also, so the important thing here is HOW YOU USE YOUR ITEM, HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF IT. im just giving my own opinion here coz i still believe in warranty's importance but im a practical person, i go to those cheaper once but still the same quality as the one with warranty, i just know how to manage and use my equipment. thanks for reading. cheers!

The main reason for concern is the question on lens calibration reimbursement for sigma lenses. Currently, they have the best deal in town. No doubt. On top of that, their unique warranty is quite interesting as compare to any other shop warranty. Their staff Tony, did SMS me saying that they will cover lens calibration cost. But they had never openly mentioned this in public forums or on their website. Note that DDE hasn't do that too, only verbal in front of potential customers.

This reimbursement may sound too good to be true...

I dun see why should they issue a warranty cert, that's if u are referring to technogadgets. They require u to pay upfront for ur repairs with the respective (and only) official service center for ur equipments. Thereafter, use the receipt (official) to claim from them. It's almost like buying travel insurance.

DDE warranty however, is from MACK, which I think is based in Australia? They will send in ur product for servicing. Not sure who pays for shipping though.

im also interested to get nikon 24-70 from them seems like the price is almost same as those used ones without warranty

Of all honestly, most of the most popular lenses doesn't really make the effort to buy grey. Nikon's 16-35mm f/4 VR is one bloody good example, I pay slightly close to $100 more from grey price, I can get a local set. Nikon's 35mm f/1.4G is also the same thing.
