Don't bother with the 16mm. Will M43 lenses viginet on a APS-C?
If its so then why are they many of those who using either NEX-C3/5 would like their hands on the NEXT NEX-5N ...
For the C3 user, its the same sensor, so the main thing would be the EVF, which brings it almost to the price of the NEX 7...

C3 uses a 16.2mp sensor, which is also used in A55, D7000 and K5.
5N uses a newer 16.1mp sensor which is unique to itself as of now.
Other than sensor difference, from many samples and reviews, 5N definitely beats C3 and is king of APSC camera for image quality, esp in high iso.
Things like faster 0.02s shutter lag, touchscreen, Avchd 2.0, touch focus tracking, magnesium body, faster af are all what makes the difference between them.

Just received my 5N from HK. Tried with my Leica 50 1.4- very nice for portraits. Will try with my 35 f2 later (effective focal length 53mm).
Are you sure its a different sensor? Which review did you look at to see the difference between C3 and 5N? I don't really care about shutter lag, touch screen, don't make movies etc or even use autofocus. I shoot in aperture priority mode with MF lenses because the Sony lenses CMI.
BTW, the 5N only goes down to ISO 100, whereas the K5 goes to ISO 80. Does this mean that the K5 still exceeds the 5N in dynamic range?
Edit: I've now seen the French comparison, which does seem to show about a half stop difference. Will await DXOMark because the set ISO is sometimes not the real ISO. Am thinking of the 5N over the 7 now given some of the comments on dpreview, but people are using the A77 sensor as a proxy for the NEX 7, but the A77 is behind a pelicle mirror, while the NEX 7 won't be so results might be different.

hi bro how's ur experience with focusing on your leica lenses?
as good or better than traditional rf focusing?
focus peaking any good with the leica lens on portraits?

So far I've taken around 10+ shots with Summilux 50 (effective FL 75mm) using focus peak. 80% hit rate in terms of focus. I do not have EVF but the big LCD is really good for manual focusing IMHO. I am not sure if the EVF s going to make a huge difference.
Most importantly, my NEX-5N focusing time is as fast as my RF focusing even though I'm not looking through an optical viewfinder.
I think both NEX-5N and traditional RF will get the job done. Once I get use to the NEX I might actually focus faster than using RF but then I will DEFINITELY miss the RF experience.

I do think evf gonna help coz I'm using ep3 with vf2, and works great with manual lenses. Do post some pics of lux
I've read online that the new EVF for NEX is an improvement so very tempting, ha ha!!!

I was considering ordering but hard to justify buying a Evf that is almost half the price of the body!! lol... but knowing me I light end up buying it anyway lol...

Ya i agree.....have bought a lot of redundant stuff already.
The 50mm 1.8 still looks kinda big to me.
Due to the build in OSS... yea!
How i wish Sony could come out a 30mm 1.8 Pancake!! Surely it will be sold like a Hotcake!
