Anyone got Apple iPad from the US -- Wi-Fi or 3G?

Am thinking of getting the iPad from the US.

Anyone done so?

I've been reading and some advise not to get the 3G version as it uses micro SIM card which is not compatible with ours here. The telcos here also refuse to comment on whether they will include the smaller SIM card. Some say it's unlikely.

So still better to go for the cheaper Wi-Fi only version?

as far as I know singtel already carries the micro sims.

Oh really? Gosh, I'm so outdated. Those posts I read were quite recent and they said no micro SIM.

I'm using a 3G version with Starhub wireless broadband simcard (I cut it myself).
No problem at all, it's working perfectly.
