Bro, thx for the advice, after some tot, I shld not act on impluse... I muz get my basic right first b4 i proceed. I'm really a newbie, after listening to the nikon guy explainin and playing the camera for a while, I found that it is very different from wat i tot...

just learn slowly as u go on... infact, i got a friend who did very pretty shots than dslr ppl with his sony cyber. its about the technique and framing, and how creative and how attractive ur shots appeal to people. not the camera. camera is only a device, the main thing is which can compose the picture well is the photographer.

I agree to what u have said.. Its the one behind the viewfinder (LCD screen) that makes the major difference. If the photographer is no good, give him the best equipmetn also no use... So I'm going to attend USM & cecil workshop tml (2/12) to learn more things...

Bro, I feel photography doesnt depends on whether u are using a Dslr, PnS or Prosumer.. Its the passion and efforts we put in to get the that 1 "great" pic that motivates us.. Like what Yokechye mentioned, there are ppl out there who shoot fantastic pics with their PnS, even much better than some Dslr's owners.. I have friends who shoot very well with their Pns too.. Make me feel ashamed of myself..:embrass: Haha..

Since u are comfortable with ur S3 nw, then enjoy n utilize it to the fullest. Its still very "young" leh.. And when one day u feel that u really want to jump into Dslr, its not too late also.. Dslr is a very ex hobby(like a bottomless pit, u will keep dumping $$ in one) and it doesnt guarantee good pics. You must put in alot of efforts and money.. Dun let other ppl or the sales guys(their job is to sell u the camera mah) psycho u or affect your decisions. In the end u are still the one who will be paying for the hobby..

Suddenly got the urge to upgrade to D70s...;p I was offered at the IT show, D70s standard package (with lens), 33l dry cabinet, 3 section tripod, 1 x 1Gb CF card, 1 x 2Gb CF card, DSLR bag (din specify wat kind) and the DX 17 - 300mm lens -----> total S$1987/= :think:

Bro... Wat u guys think of this offer, serious I not too sure if I'm ready for the upgrade, got my S3 for a mth. I'm still a newbie, nv touch DSLR b4 untill today. :dunno:

Wow.. the nikon guy there explain to me many things le.. Then i start to ponder if I'm ready for the DSLR challenge. I'm actually very comfortable with my current S3... Being using mainly the Av mode, once a while change to manual.


Sigh.... One thing that hinder me from the change is the cost.. and also the compact size of S3 (plus the 12x zoom)... Think i should just hold on for a while more till I have a better understanding of photography then I change...

Hey bro... Thx for the advice.. I've made up my mind and kept the S3.... :sweat:
By the way, I was there too (wif my baby S3).. Wat time did you go? Seriously I agree wif ya that the BBT was nothing much, nt worth the time and effort to go all the way from wdl there. Maybe it'll be more fun on wk-end where models are come full strength... Maybe they still "indenting" the model...

I actualli never intended to go down expo yest one, initial plan was to go sentosa shoot one.. Was at Vivo City early in the afternoon, but due to the extremely hot weather, decide to change plan to expo.. BBT was really boring, luckily got Sitex next door.. My only "prize" was to buy a 2GB memory card.

The models at the BBT are inside the feature area which u must pay to get in one, the public area not much models and I suspect it will remain the same even for the weekend.. I wun go down again, will go for other events instead..

I was there from bout 12 plus till bout 4... Went to the featured area and really notthing le.. Oh my god, still got the TP WRX.. sgh... Next time dun go for BBT liao... I din managed to catch the bikini fashion show.. was it nice??

As for the model wise, tink i saw a familiar face, she was the yamaha model for the previous motor show, but this time she's at the Subaru booth.

I went to the BBT liao on Sat evening. A total turn-off as compared to last year. Maybe I was there a bit late... Reach there at abt 6.30pm, saw some CSers and spoke to them. But I didnt went into the $5 area... Guess I dun haf the time and heard that the main show was over. So I managed to get the orange outfit phots... 4get to take the spa's exhibit models... LOL~~~ But it was lesser and less aspiring than last year... Then SITEX is crowded... Active Foto as usual with big crowd standing ard n see show... sianz... Managed to take a few shots... See whether I have the time to edit n post...

BTW, anyone good in Calculus? Need some help here... sob sob...
