Wah lau, cannot move so fast, lah. The learning curve in wine drinking is too steep for me. Black olives, heavy headed spice....gunpowder....rich chocolate, old leather, tar.....etc - got meh? :dunno: Maybe, my old and tired tongue and nose can't even discern the intricacy in each wine. So, how to move to heavier stuff? Gotta take my time and learn at my own pace. :bsmilie:

I love Port. They have recently dropped them to 20%, so I guessed its still fell into wine category now although it is re-distilled ba. :)

zhun boh?

mai siao siao lar...

last year, i opened a bottle of some german red 1980 which a friend passed to me as he was clearing his house........

think it wasn't properly kept.....although the seal and the cork was intact, but probably the temperature and generally doesn't look very well maintained...

after opening it and letting it breathe...decanted for awhile...

although the nose was good. but we noted a very spicy...albeit too much.... keynote.....

took a lil sip.............i tell u...italians will lurve it with their olive oil and hakka folks will lurve to use it for their pig trotters as strong Balsimico or black rice VINEGAR!

wah lau.........damn urgh :S

Being a wine connoiseur, I trust your wine are very well kept and shouldn't spoil even after two decades. That's why I am more than willing to be your guinea pig. :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

ich bin nicht ein Wein connoiseur.

i guess they are well kept, but the problem is the wine itself may not be suitable for such a long storage.....so maybe use as cooking reduced red wine lor :bsmilie:

How many here into wine-focused photography as well?

Same here. I tend to do a lot of micro or close-up and not easy wide angle, screen with vineyard shots.

Would anyone here happen to know the value for these 2 particular bottles?

Réserve Spéciale
Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)
Bordeaux Rouge 2002

Réserve Spéciale
Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)
Bordeaux Rouge 1998

Kindly advice please.

Cheers,
WG
