I just shot this with my Elmar 65mm with Visoflex on M9. Just for fun. Must learn post-processing.

This Visoflex looks quite fun, I only get to know this thing after I read your post.. hehehe.. Is it expensive to get a Visoflex III for M8? As for the lens, I think only certain lens can fit, japanese lens can fit?

Based on my latest experience, better make sure your visoflex is clean before you use it on my camera or you will import huge specks of dust onto the sensor. :bsmilie:

A visoflex III costs around $400-500 I think. Not sure about Japanese lenses fitting, bec the Leica diagram for the Visoflex naturally only showed their own lenses. You also need to buy adatptors 16471 and 16464 to fit the lens which will cost around $150 each I think.

Google for pics and you will find the setup and the diagram easily.

Got one but have not tried yet...Need to study the Visoflex chart first..

Gommy, the japanese lens guru, will be great to know more from you if the lens works for Visoflex..

3rdwheel, great to know it's actually not so expensive.. I will keep a lookout around for one.. hehe..

I think I know where to go find myself a 90mm/cron, I'm sure it will works with the Visoflex..

I'm only thinking logically cos, I have no experience for Visoflex but I'm sure if you can attach a lens to Visoflex, it should work as it works like SLR, no longer dependent on RF coupling to focus but through the "ground glass"(?) of Visoflex. The lens may not focus to infinity but probably ok for macro work.:dunno:

Gommy,

I just learnt the hard way, better clean the Visoflex before use or its mirror will "flap" dust onto your camera sensor.

Secondly, it's quite delicate, fix very carefully or one may end up scratching or knocking on the camera as it is somewhat heavy.

I think the Visoflex is not only for macro work, you may be able to fix long lenses on the RF.
