Any using lenscoat ? http://www.lenscoat.com/
How's the feel and built like?

CP is selling but seems quite ex. Anyone tried buying directly over the net?

Use gaffer tape. DIY cut to stick-on. Cheap cheap!

yes cheap cheap, and it will take the paint off off your lenses too. stay away from gaffer tape. the lenscoat is made from neoprene, same material they make wet suits from so its soft and rubbery. very well constucted. my lenses aren't cheap, very well worth it imo.

I did ... bought overseas, they gave me the wrong color  Nice protection for the Nikon 70-200VR. Crude sewing and crude fit on hood, fit not tight enough to my liking. At the end, only used part of it.

Dat depends on which brand u using... :)

While i have no personal expierence, i have read in many forums that all gaffers tape will remove your paint and they have pictures of it too but it's your lens so you do whatever you feel comfortable with.

Not sure where mine came from as i got them as a gift from my girlfriend :D but i was planing on getting them from CP. I got the 70-200IS and the 500IS and am very happy, well made.

i would really like to get one... BUT i feel (IMHO) it's too much money for a lens sock. Now, if it's given as a gift, of course I will accept whole-heartedly.

this was what I was quoted by Cathay last August...

For Canon 70-200IS f/2.8: @S$170.00*
For Canon Extender Set: @S$65.00*
GST Inclusive.

IMHO, this kind money would do me good in some other purchase.
