I believe this is the first Sony compact camera with CMOS sensor, 10fps continuous shooting and sweep panorama.
Another comparison. (Notice the shadow area especially)
P mode (ISO400, F2.4, 1/20s)

Twilight mode (ISO400, F2.4, 1/25s)

a picture speaks a thousand words... i am impressed... the twilight mode where multiple images are taken and then layered.. can we adjust the ISO at which it is done? I know for F70EXR, the ISO is set as ISO1600 as a feature of pro-lowlight mode...
no doubt its impressive, i will still stick to my trusty F200EXR... perhaps will get it when WX2 or WX3 is released.![]()
Again I want to point out that this is not low light high ISO. It's just high ISO. Test the camera under low light high ISO and see if it's as impressive. I tested the A900 under low light and it isn't pretty... using ISO6400 then. Will post tonight or tomorrow afterI get down to working on the jpegs.
Yap you are right that if it is not low light high ISO it is not conclusive.
Check the links that I posted, some are low light high ISO mainly up to 3200 in very dark condition.
The ones taken with Twilight mode is pretty impressive.
Also for those who are looking to get the Party Shot, my advise is don't.
Utterly useless or maybe I was expecting too much.

Checked your links in the signature, no sign of these photos... link a few here?
Low light is quite subjective. Those photos I took were in my study room with only 2 x downlights lighted only. So I think it's not very well lit.
But I do agree as when I took some photos at the living room of my son, the noise was quite terrible even at ISO200. But then when I used my A700, even at ISO400 was also quite noisy, so I guess my house is indeed very dark.
Actually when i compared to some past photos I took using F200EXR and LX3 of the same scene (the printer and i-pen), at ISO400 and above was also quite noisy, but I think Sony matches their performance quite well.
I think for very low lit conditions, flash/external flash is still required. If not why all those wedding photographer with SUPER good noise control D3 still uses flash right?
So conclusion, my house is too dark for photography.
Just bought the black sexy WX1 from SonyStyle Bishan few hours ago.
WX1 is able to zoom like F70EXR during video recording...
Why not buy from MS Color? You might have gotten a discount...![]()
...
I only wanted to try out at SonyStyle, end up buying it....
Haha... Sometime is like that, when infected by BBB virus.![]()
Yah man, this is something women always disagree...esp wives...
When you wanna buy, just buy it if you can afford....if gonna wait till discount or sale...by then the "feeling" already gone...even if it's very cheap, still that kind of urge is no longer there....
