i've walked with my wife.. took us about 4 and a half hours to walk from west coast to harbour front. but i don't suggest anyone start from west coast. we kinda felt "conned". coz following the map, we actually had to walk along the main roads from west coast park, to NUS, through NUS, through the NUS Prince George Park Hostels, then come to science park drive (where we were still walking along the road) and then up to kent ridge park.

the rest of the walk after kent ridge park was nice.. the part from west coast to kent ridge was not. we had to walk through NUS, use overhead bridges, traffic lights, etc.. not really a nice park walk. so suggestion is to start at kent ridge park and walk towards harbour front.

and for drivers, a suggestion is to leave your car at home for the day. we ditched our car at home, took a bus to west coast, and walked all the way to harbourfront. then go home from there.

To walk from Hort Park -> Vivo City takes an estimated 45mins (conservative timing, walking most of the time). You might take longer if you make more stops to take photos. To get to Hort Park, you can take 57 from Bt Merah Interchange and alight at the stop that is called "Opp SP Jain" (Bus Stop 18019) which is actually opposite Hort Park.

Other buses that stop at that bus stop are: 100 166 175 51 57 61 93 963 97.

Once there, you can climb up onto the overhead bridge and start your journey at the treetops walk towards Vivo City.
