Hi folks.

I'm looking for a Digital Voice Recorder to take down minutes of meetings.

Criteria:
1) Good audio quality (can hear voice clearly in a meeting room of about 10ppl)
2) Recording duration > 30 hours total. Should be no problem with the memory sizes so large nowadays.
3) Price < S$100

Is that achievable? Anyone with personal experience in this area? Perhaps you can suggest a particular brand/model that works well for you?
Thanks! Appreciate the help!

For under $100, how about the "common" MP3 players that have the recording features?

...MP4 players too.

I remember ever using one in a conference hall and the sound playback was rather clear - I was seated somewhere in the third quarter area from the stage. (Can't remember the product brand/model as it was some time ago and I've since given it away to a friend).

Also if the player has mic-in, u can plug in a directional mic.

thanks for the suggestion. I have a creative muvo MP3 player, and I must say that the audio recording quality is BAD. That's why I'm apprehensive about getting an MP3 player for this purpose. But if it's really quite clear, maybe I'll test them out to see how they fare.

How about Zoom H2. http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/h2/index.php
It should be under S$300 at City Music. Call them to ask for the latest price. ;p

you need high quality but do not want to pay the price for it. it is tough then...

go check out olympus WS series. it wont blow your budget too much, but you can at least be assured it will record well and play back well on its speaker.

check out challenger. you will find some decent ones made by olympus.

I think $150 is a more realistic budget.

Just Google Digital voice recorders reviews and you'll get lots of info. ;)

Hahaha I suppose you're right. Perhaps I'm asking for too much.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll go check them out...
