Few days after using the A200, been great so far! But i noticed in A mode, the dial is in 1/3 stop, is it possible to set it to 1/2 stop? And also during playback, if i want to jump like 200 images back, what would be the fastest way? I tried zooming out but it is very laggy and have to scroll past so many pages. :dunno:

Try the "AV" button after press the playback button. You able to scroll faster and select picture faster. Though, I don't remember an option to jump to a specific location at one go.

Hi can ask for the A200 18-70 kit lens, what's e best way to achieve bokeh? the max aperture is only btw 3.5 - 5.6 . I try zooming in but aperture decreases... sometimes can get, sometimes cannot get bokeh.

SSS is an adaptive system, and tries to adjust based on the vibrations it detects. It'll go up and down because you breathe, your pulse changes, etc. Normally I just shoot, but sometimes I'll wait that one second to let SSS adjust to me.
SSS is just great, if you wait unit the meter left one bar and then push the shutter and slowly release it. It can get almost shake free pics even at 1/2 sec exposure handheld :)

The below pic is 100% crop, taken at 50mm, 1/2 exposure handheld with SSS

Ways to increase bokeh are 1. lower aperture 2. shorter distance from camera to focused subject 3. increased focal length. So in your case the kit lens doesnt have very large apertures to play around with, so only way to get better bokeh effects is to shoot wide open and bring the subject closer..Hope that helps

Do ur put ut flash in the Dry cabinet? wat about battery ?

Hi All Seniors ,

Newbie here just get my alpha 200 !! Wish all the seniors can guide me, thank you ! :)

Remember, out of focus areas does NOT mean bokeh. ;)

ok tks . yup i leave my pouch outside also . i find tat when we open up the cabinet aftter tat the HR increase quite alot . ans it slowing goes down is normal rite . sorry for so much questian
I put my flash and battery in dry cabi but leave the pouches outside.

yup, it is normal my digicab takes up to hour recover to 38 percent rh. if you open the door and close it fast the rh will be less affected.

wat i learn from the free course by sony recomand is 45%-50% tat also depend wat size of the cabinet and the equiment in side . correct me if i'm wrong ;)

Hi, I want to ask whether how to check shutter count in alpha 200? :D

Urgh! My dry cabi sometimes drops below 25% RH on its own! No wonder all my rubber are turning gray! Is it normal for RH to fluctuate between 21% and 45%? (without opening) Have this got to do with the fact that my dry cabi is facing a sunny window? Oh no... There is even direct sunlight at certain times of the day?! (I got a feeling this is very wrong...)

Hi, bro wenzheng....thanks for ur advice. I tried the above ways plus focusing at the eyes (read this somewhere on the net) and manage some decent bokeh pics even w kit lens of max aperture 3.5-5.6 . However due to the eyes focusing, my composition was rather dull with the subject always in the center. Like to find out how to achieve bokeh if

1) Compose the person in the corner of the picture? Can I still focus at her eyes and while holding shutter halfway, recompose the pic or zoom out and still get bokeh?

2) how to get bokeh for 2 or more persons in a picture?(I am totally clueless on this one) :dunno:

Appreciate and thanks to all bros who can advice

The fluctuation shouldn't be so great.
