ANy shops in Tokyo to recommend in Tokyo?

Bennyb,

If you do go to Nakano - quite accessible from Shinjuku Station by the JR line - don't forget to drop by Jackroad - lots of vintage rolexes there. Also some Pams, and Panerai there.

WAH! That's same station as fujiya... you can plan ONE full day at Nakano, ONE full day at Shinjuku, ONE full day at Ginza.... that's enough to keep you busy for a few days...

And you can always get a few A&A bags to bring back those Leica gears if you run out of suit cases....

sorry hijack abit...

i understand that in tokyo there is a very large supermarket for films....the whole basement is films....cold stored...anyone know where is this place?:)

Most Yodobashi Cameras have supermarket style film fridge. Yodobashi Akihabara & Yodobashi Shinjuku should be hard to miss...

I'm confident that this trip to Tokyo will be a fruitful one.. Hehehe..

Sorry to dig out old thread....

Am at tokyo now. Just saw that isetan sells leica too and I saw a 50mm summilux. Abt 399k jpy. I know its in premium but just wonder its worth to get since its rare.

However I prefer silver and I saw from robert white UK website stating they have silver available and its much cheaper.

Anyone has experience with robertwhite?

What shd I do... Going back soon..

Thanks

There are a few other shops that have the chrome Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH. Saw it but I didn't take note of the prices when I was walking around Tokyo for the past 9 days.

If you get from Isetan, you can get 5% off if you bring your passport. And no extra % for using credit cards. Lastly, you have to add shipping and 7% GST on Robert's prices.

Cheers,
