Any review on 9-18mm lens M4/3

This lens with the 20mm is all I need for travelling, only takes up a small part of my bag.

That was exactly what I have in my bag when I was in West Coast, USA late last year. 9-18 for all of my scenery and 20mm for indoor low light situation. Perfect combination.

Cheap go for 9-18.
Optical quality and ultra-wide rectilinear, go for 7-14.

Perspective distortion is strictly a personal preference and "kung-fu ".

But just to ask if anyone tried registering the warranty for imported lens? Local agent requested for receipt and warranty card. But I only have the sale confirmation invoice, so does it still valid?

Its a good lens, no doubt. 9-18 to me is perfect. I shoot usually at the widest or at the most zoom, and I rarely shoot in between. 9 mm is very wide...and its virtually distortion free. Shoot it right, your horizon is straight. It is impressive. I shoot 9 mm for landscape or scenery or for close up shots where I need to take "Everything in". With this same lens, I can also shoot portraits and groups. Just twist it all the way to 18 mm, which gives me a 35 mm FOV, which I think is perfect for normal journalistic shooting, and for shooting people without any distortion. Its a thing of beauty...this lens....BTW, I much prefer the 4/3 9-18. U should get this over the m4/3 if u do have a 4/3 DSLR. Otherwise, ur next best choice is the m4/3 9-18.

I have a 4/3 to m4/3 adapter, so I can use either. But why is the 4/3 version better? IQ? Dof?

The downside is probably the blurring at the corners. You'll see that if you open up the pictures at 100%.
Also at 18mm, it stops down to f/5.6 which makes it harder to get low light shots - but f/4 is quite slow also.

Actually,its not very difficult to get low light shots since wide angle lenses the handshake is not very obvious, but of course,it still varies from person to person
