Its a good lens, no doubt. 9-18 to me is perfect. I shoot usually at the widest or at the most zoom, and I rarely shoot in between. 9 mm is very wide...and its virtually distortion free. Shoot it right, your horizon is straight. It is impressive. I shoot 9 mm for landscape or scenery or for close up shots where I need to take "Everything in". With this same lens, I can also shoot portraits and groups. Just twist it all the way to 18 mm, which gives me a 35 mm FOV, which I think is perfect for normal journalistic shooting, and for shooting people without any distortion. Its a thing of beauty...this lens....BTW, I much prefer the 4/3 9-18. U should get this over the m4/3 if u do have a 4/3 DSLR. Otherwise, ur next best choice is the m4/3 9-18.
