It depends on the lighting condition, subject to shoot as well as the len you are using.
Generally, it good to bring in a range of ISO films so that you can change film when the weather/lighting changes.

Basic knowledge - The higher the ISO -> the film is faster and can be use for dimmer light situation, but will offers more grains compared to slower film.

F.Y.I. there are number of different films available in the market. the following is just a general guideline:
1. Silde -> Tolerance level low ( not forgiving to underexpose and overexposed
shots) Not recommended for newbie.

2. Color Negative - Tolerance level is quite high. Warning - Dun use Kodak
TMax400 (Too grainy). Recommended for new bie.

As for the rest such as B&W, IR films, I think we can ignore it for the time being.

Anyone can add on to what I've missed out.

You can ask the shop for advise when you go get the film.... Just tell them that the you are going for a day shoot and a nite shoot.. they will advise you on wat film to get... but like wat scanner say... try to get different films as we will be shooting both day and nite...

Oooo we got a SLR user by the name of Denis...same as me...only mine is an old SLR Canon EOS 500N...will bring along my point n shoot DG cam too...

Scanner: Is IR film processing expensive? I want to try that one for the 24th.
True, Kodak 400 is always much more grainier. Most of the time I use Fujifilm.

mmm..no tripods needed...you wont have space to plonk them..beware..some indians on the road are really violent to cameras...had experiences before...some are really friendly....but be descreet as possible....

Cars are crazy in that place...so are pedestrains..they still think cars are metal cows....cyclists are the worst..they run you thru thinking they are on a magic carpet or something..

if best...hang out there till night....very colourful place to shoot....in the afternoon about 11am- 2 pm....activity quite sluggish....but walk down arts lane and towards mustafa....the alleys are happening..

For newbie-> Very importantly, if you plan to shoot beautiful shot, morning lights and evening light will be the best -> less harsh. Bring alone a flash to do fill-in if you plan to shoot during the afternoon ->very harsh lighing.
