Any macro lens recommendation?

I am happy to use Nikkor 55mm f2.8... wanna see some samples? It is a manual lens and goes for $2xx used.

Best to have a macro lens if you are serious in it, Raynox do a good job without breaking you bank. Macro lens give you a better working distance than a add-on but once you get use to it then is ok. Show here is 1 of my shot without cropping, can you tell what lens did I used. I have 50mm f3.5 macro, 200mm f4 macro & raynox 250+150.

You can consider the Macro Sigma lenses Olympus mount for 4/3, 150mm and the 105mm. Should get you the 1:1 with AF/MF

Shooting macro is a lot to learn... to hunt for, to compose, the light source & to tame 'sayang' & make them co-operate:)

Here another shot how to tame & what lens was used...

Yerks! Please tell me you were shooting behind a glass panel...

I am not exactly a patient guy, haha, tried macro once, don't like it, but I really salute macro experts like yourself because its not easy.

Thanks for viewing. No glass panel for this, am using a Nikon 200mm f4 on my m4/3. So working distance is not that near, I'm not a patient guy too, kakis know me shoot & go.

Thanks for viewing. Got 2 kit lens either the 14-45mm or 45-200mm with Raynox stack over it

But then I keep hearing there's the problem of vignetting if we use m4/3 kit lens. So I don't know whether to go for ext tubes or raynox.
Nice shots though! :)

I don't think there are m43 ext tubes yet...

If using 14-45mm kit lens at 14mm sure get vignetting, go at 45mm or more on the 45-200mm. Best to invest a Raynox so as when you upgrade to a macro lens you still can use it at a easy plug n play way unlike ext tubes got to screw n unscrew to use. Further more the DOF is too thin on the ext tubes not easy for you to use and is too close to scare those insect away. Hope it help.
