Why i thought square cause i read the sticky, can be cost saving for long term. which thats what i thought is good.
And i read tianya some is good.... but i still abit lost... cokin i google, is cokin.fr ...

The word "Good" is hard to define. It's like asking the "Best" lens.

The Good/Best ones are those that serves your purpose.

The website Cokin.fr is correct... (the website abit chui if you ask me..) btw, If you are going to use the filters on a UWA, I really recommend going 1 size bigger...which is alot more expensive (esp for those high end ones).

Cokin is good, Tianya - not bad. Actually if I were you, I would get the Tianya... use it and familiarise with it... note that Tianya holder can also hold Cokin (Corkin) filter too.

As for Tianya filter and filter holder, you can buy from artworkfoto (not too expensive - can't remember the price, you might want to check their website - artworkfoto.com and they are situated in midlink plaza).

Oh if you think you are more comfortable with Cokin (Corkin), you can check with Cathay Photo, I believe they are the distributor for this particular brand.

To add on, if you can spare abit more $, get the Cokin filter holder. The Tianya one is really chui...Used my friend's Cokin filter and regretted immediately.

Tianya P holder (regardless normal or for UWA): $10 (Artworkfoto)
Cokin: I believe CP stock them at ~$12 or $15????

Hmm... look like I got a good copy then. The one that was sold to me is very good... it still feel cheap and the workmanship is horrible... but it do its job good enough for normal usage.

TY holder and the ring i think $10 for holder $8 for ring or $10 also

as for the square filter $12 each

Ok. Then i go consider cokin.

For the expert here, for square filter, most people use it more for cost saving.
But what are the cons you guys experience?

What I hate:

1) I have to remove my UV filter when I attach the holder on it. (maybe it is just me... but I wouldn't want another piece of glass in addition to my square filter - might cause image degrade).

2) It is an attachment (I have not handle a Cokin before, so cannot comment on that) it take time to attach the holder and Tianya didn't do an excellent job that enable easy attachment. So if the holder is not attached properly, it drop down sometime.

3) When using the holder, I cannot attach my hood on the lens.

4) I must detach my holder from the lens before I can put on my lens cap and keep my camera (I am a very lazy person... so... well...)

Image wise, I am imagining that there will be some degrading of image quality.
