Any idea of finding a photography buddy?

Finding buddy is not easy. Cause timing, type of shoot, and communications and comfortable level.

Actually not bad. I have one (bought the entire set from one of the CS bro)... used it briefly and find that it work pretty well, but gave it to my bro when he went back to Australia because he is more interested in it and it was gathering dust on my desk.

The quality is very crude, not really that refine as compared to Cokin.

TY filter, I recommend getting what you need only. I personally got the GND, ND8, Sunset. so far, I only use the GND and ND, so far so good for my usage. But please do not stack these filters, cos got color cast. (http://darthbertz.blogspot.com/2010/06/color-cast-problems-caused-by-nd-and.html).

I will say it's good (esp for the price) for starters. When you start to feel the limits/"jialatness" of the filter, then it's time to upgrade to better ones (Lee or Singh Ray :devil: etc...).

Given my limited uses of filters, I'm personally still satisfied with what TY can give me.


Edit: btw, when getting these filters...please check for flare. I got my ND8 and it have a bright flare spot when I shoot against the sun (very bright light source). So I have to handhold the ND at a certain angle to "remove" the flare

Why i thought square cause i read the sticky, can be cost saving for long term. which thats what i thought is good.
And i read tianya some is good.... but i still abit lost... cokin i google, is cokin.fr ...
