Haha need tripod a not?

If you are going to Zoo, unless you are taking pictures of slow/not moving animals (tortoise, seldom moves), else you may not have time to setup the tripod. If you are talking about ferrets, forget it...

Hahaha set up when you are buying tickets for entry! Then hold your set up tripod all the way inside. No choice.. :bsmilie:

Not sure if you know how fast those little creatures moves....if you can nail it with camera on tripod, congrats...

Hmm those kind of aperture is not suitable for teleconverter use, you lose 1-2 stops of light depending on the magnification and autofocusing would be a big problem using this lens, your shutter speed will also be lengthen

Never bring my tripod. But I use a monopod (at least for my last zoo shots, really useful). Have you gotten your monopod yet?
