hi, where to find a good korean or japanese restaurant? any recommendation?

rakuzen at millenia walk.
Santouka at Central,
hana shabu at Mohd Sultan
Miharu and satsuma at gallery hotel

etc etc

Restaurant Chako (Google search it). Featured on Makan Sutra Raw.

A really well-hidden gem at Hong Leong Gardens Shopping Centre.

Very small family-run restaurant that catered to the Japanese expat community when they were big here in the 80s. Run by a Japanese lady. They have very short opening hours and a very small seating capacity, so it might be a good idea to call them first.

IMHO, it's as authentic as you can get in S'pore.

inagiku at fairmont. hurhur.

specify a budget and how purist you expect it to be la. like you know, simple sashimi, buffet or avant garde.

well, for a group of four, budget from 100 ~ 200.

Razuken in Millenia is nice but not Waraku over there. The tuna, salmon consist of parts of darker meats, and considering the price...was a letdown. 2 person $130+

do you guys reccomend waraku as a nice restaurant?

Yakiniku Daidomon is at 101, Thomson Road #01-14/15, United Square Shopping Mall, tel: 63567577 and at 371 Beach Road, #01-07, Keypoint, tel: 62952077.

i would highly recommend this. slightly above ur budget, but worth it.

100 per pax or for all 4?

Not much if it is for all 4, if you just want good food, not the ambience, try Sakuraya, branches at Parkway and South Bouna Vista Rd

well, for a group of four, budget from 100 ~ 200.

Osahime Japanese Restaurant, below golden shoe carpark. They had both ala carke and buffet. Tried their buffet 2 days ago. It was 40+ per pax, but really really really good foods with fresh sashimi. :bsmilie:
