dunno what card to get.. wanna accumulate points for krisflyer...
any suggestions? thanks! :D

Do survey and consider the credit cards from American Express (for their KrisFlyer Gold credit card) and credit cards from UOB and perhaps DBS.

Krisflyer miles is not very good IMHO... if you can try other frequent flyers program, i.e. United.

there's one credit card "United Mileage Plus", visa card, you referring to this? Not sure how many airlines linked to this card...

Really depends on where you are based, its easier to redeem Krisflyer miles when you are in SG, and harder to redeem miles from other airlines.

But really united airline sucks lah, tho there's no expiry date for their miles... one of the best in the industry

Yes, UA svc not very good, but UA miles accumulated thru other methods (other than flying) is counted for FFP status as well. You can redeem mileage to fly on other Star Alliance airlines... SQ is part of Star Alliance.

Really? I thought you can only redeem on their alliance if they don't fly certain routes..

UA mileage redeem has certain blackout period, eg Christmas, Chinese New Year, Easter. SIA mileage redeem has no blackout period, ie you can fly any time of the year. However, SIA requires more miles to redeem for the same journey.

SIA has 15% discounts on the miles you need for redemption from time to time.

SIA requires less miles for Asia flights in general compared to UA ( and other Star alliance/Oneworld, I did a comparison between the various FFP to see which one I rather sign up ), but UA long hauls redemption ( trans-pacific, flights from SG-Europe) is better.

I keep one with StarAlliance, another with Oneworld, useful in different times..
