We may be at the bottom of the RF barrel (or are we?) amongst the Leicas and Epsons and Bessas of the world, but it would be great to share some of our experiences with our komrades.
My personal journey started with my Nikon FM. Life was good then. The total control of the process, the anticipation of the results, the gnashing of teeth and the occasional euphoria of a picture which is personally satisfying.
When digital came, the allure of instant gratification and new technology took hold of me, and quickly went through the whole rigmarole of digital SLR upgrading.
Until I got sick of the whole digital thing. My photography wasn't giving joy anymore, as I feel I was totally detached from the experience.
That's when I saw an ad for a FED 2, cheap (S$100). What the hey, might as well give it a spin. A couple of rolls later I got the feeling back, and a Zorki 3M quickly joined the stable.
Now I'm content. And all of a sudden, the Survivors song seem to be playing in the background - The Search Is Over. Almost all the lines fit my photo journey
"The search is over, love was right before my eyes."
Now to the pictures:
Here are some from the Zorki:
