This sunday are u going to the dog show?

What dog show :O

angel has two west highland white terriers at home =)

Whao .... guess there are a lot of dog lovers here in CS ....

Add mine to the list .....

#1 - My Babies ... Bruno Boi (left) and Frenchie Girl (right)

#2 - Bruno (French Bulldog) and Apple (British Bulldog)
DSC_78242.jpg

Got Frenchie first ... but then later thot she would be lonely at home when we are at work ... so decided to get a play mate for her ... and came Bruno ... Now we make it a point to bring them out for walk and a god run at a nearby field everyday after work ... And every Sunday we try to bring them to the West Coast Dog Run for their weekly socialisation with other dogs and exercise ...

Sometimes also see other photogs at the DOg Run ... not sure if anyone is here in CS ??

Apple - the British Bulldog belongs to a friend ... and we now have about 4 couples with different dogs gathering at West Coast Dog Run on Sundays ...

Anyone got the details to the Dog Show on Sunday?? Want to meet up at the show??

:bsmilie: my dog is cross between a cairn and a west highland terrier .. i adopted her as their owners were shifting to an apartment. I got her for only around 6-8 months...The ash colour of her fur came from her cairn terrier side i guess... :dunno: ... she's not young though .. around 6 years old.

Westies are kind of stubborn... as far as i know. Their hereditary traits are from the cairn and vice versa... so are their problems (ear problems especially).

As usual, a little bit of googling gives you:

http://www.puppydogweb.com/caninebreeds/westie.htm

I just got home from my shoot and well .. she welcomes me by walking on 2 feet

Thank you very much.. i will read through them.
Wow your westie so good girl :)

:what: that's the problem with male dog.. guess infuture my male dog will get beat by me due to anyhow pee ...

bring along kitchen towel and plastic bag :).. no problem.. or make him Pee before going into the exhibition :)...

The Pet shop ppl got teach me how to toilet train the dog..

for the first 2 weeks.. fence him at the area he should pee and po. After 2 weeks then let him roam around the house.. so everytime he want to pee and po will go back to his very first po area :)

Please don't get the dog if that is the case. Dogs are highly social animals and putting them at home all the time is as good as locking a person in the room all the time with nothing to do. Ask yourself first, what do you want the dog for if you are not around most of the time. The dog will get mentally sick and disturbed if locked at home alone for long periods.

That's probably true. On the other hand, what happens to dogs at the SPCA if noone adopts them? Is it overall better to leave the dog with the SPCA, or give it a chance at finding a home even if the circumstances are not perfect?

Would like to check if Japanese Shibas are banned in Singapore? They are a smaller breed of Japanese dog smilar in look to an Akita.

hmm ... for me, i take the dog out every 2 hours (or my mom will) ... so that automatically, every 2 hours, she'll develop the habit and know when to go out and she's able to "tell" my mom when she wants to head out to do her business before soiling the place ...

You can start with paper training the dog also at the stage suggested by the pet shop. But be prepared for nights of endless howlings if you take away the pup from its mother too young.
