Any CSers in Europe with experience of camera shops?

Dear CS'ers,

I'll be heading to Europe (Sweden) in 2 months time for a university study exchange. I"ll probably want to scour for good/best buys in camera shops in Europe (e.g. Sweden, London, Amsterdam, Germany, etc). Anyone has any good places to introduce? It would also be good to make more friends and find out more about sceneries or places in Europe that provide wonderful phototaking opportunities.

Hi, I would strongly encourage you to buy your stuff from Singapore. Camera stuff can be extremely expensive esp in Sweden. You may refer to the below links and gauge yourself.

Which part of Sweden would you be going? Lund or Stockholm?

Yea I suppose it's rather ex. Dang, Europe's not cheap.How about around the region, like other non-scandinavian countries?

Europe in general is not cheap for camera stuffs... but you may be able to pick up some nice old leica lens etc if you are interested...

yes! that would sound delicious! any lobang? a nice affordable prime would be good, although i'll be carrying 3 lenses :thumbsd: (i believe in the mantra: less is more)
had high hopes at first though, i thought Europe would be a treasure trove for good camera equipment and accessories.

It ain't that cheap to buy in Singapore anyway. We have limited distributors and that means no easy way out when they increase prices. US is much cheaper, isn't it? (Of course, that's if you're just staying there)
