Another SHOOTING case!

Another shooting case at US Arizona, 6 dead and 12 injured. Among the dead, 1 is a federal judge. A 9mm Glock Model 19 handgun is believed to be the murder weapon. :sweat:

You are TOTALLY wrong, GUNS are not banned in Singapore. Any person can legally own a handgun, rifle or shotgun if they are a member of SRA, SGC and meet all the criteria requirements.

I have had my firearms here in Singapore since 1990 when I moved here .....

Why do you say gun law ?

Gun Laws dont work at all, look at Australia / UK both countries have gun bans in place, but it hasnt stopped crimes involving firearms, infact they have increased.

Gun Laws only work to keep firearms out of the hands of law abiding people, criminals will always get guns no matter what.

Look at Singapore, firearms are restricted items, but a person can still own them, but there have been many crimes involving firearms in Singapore, so tell me do gun laws really work ?

And Yes, while Guns by themselves doesn't 'Kill' people.... its sures does allow one single man/woman to hurt/kill more people at range, than if they are only using a knife.

Umm... I don't think my comments are based on no grounds. I've not killed anyone or shot at anyone, please refrain from asking questions like that, its rather insulting. But been shooting with rifles for the past 10 years, practising legally of course. Why were guns invented in the first place? Its a good point for debate. A gun is a weapon and there are reasons why we shouldn't allow people to own them easily.

A robber with a gun is a criminal, a policeman with a gun is a protector. It is subjective on whether it can be used to do good or bad. How many shooting cases are there in US? Compare that with Singapore. If guns were freely available I'm sure you'd have a lot more gun related violence. Do not be over protective because you own a gun.

When someone has brainfade and then kills someone with a gun, everyone cries foul need tougher laws etc ...

But what about CARS, how many people are killed in car accidents as the result of brainfades, speeding, drinking etc ... BUT CARS or Alcohol are not banned WHY ?

Car accidents kill more people in Singapore than firearm related incidents.!!!

Its not the CAR Or Firearm that kills, its the person behind the steering wheel or the trigger.

You've answered the question yourself. "Car accidents"... It was an accident, unplanned. If you pull a trigger to kill someone, thats intentional. A bullet from a gun does nothing but to penetrate a target, it doesn't cut meat like a chopper does and it doesn't bring us places like a bus does.

Not a very good comparison to make, guns were designed to immobilise and effectively kill people and animals. Cars were designed as transport. The only similarity they have is that both can be used as a weapon for destruction. The big difference is that people do not want to kill other people using a car, but people with guns do! Sure accidents occur in both cases but having the ability to kill someone with the flick of a trigger is no accident at all.
