Another Punggol series

great set of picture. love the way you explore it by moving around to the same trees.

Thanks guys, glad you like it. I will be visiting again tomorrow, drop me an PM if you would like to come.

Nice shot, must quickly capture the beauty of Punggol before it finally goes into developing of housing...

ah, what most of the ang mo photographers do (since it is not common in singapore) is to use a longer focal length to shoot the moon, then "insert" it into a UWA perspective, if need be. :P

Oh, nice tip, thanks for sharing.

TS, I like #3 and I think #4 could have been worked more, i.e. different angle or where the sun is in the capture. Thanks for sharing!

very "mouth-watering"
awesome :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Revisited today, some clouds punking me at the horizon today :P

Are these shots very much PP or straight of cam. Been there. But cannot even reach to something like yours:thumbsup:. Any filters used. Been trying with my 7d with CPL but always :thumbsd:

Hi sadiqsabia, no CPL for 1 and 2, CPL was on for 3. A little PP (curve adjustment) is needed to bring out the colors and underexposed grass.

ahh although the clouds took away some of the colours, i think the framing this time round is better :)

cheers,
marc

Thanks marc, bit disappointed with the light but I'm glad I improved in other departments.

Oddly I haven't processed the 'Punggol Signature Two Trees' shot yet
What I have so far:

<1>

<3>
Took this at the end just before we trudged back to the car
When the sun chose to selectively light the HDB blocks on one end
And retreating morning mist into the forest-ey other

I like it as a Man vs Nature shot
Of encroaching development, pushing the boundaries of soon forgotten Punggol Field

25042010PunggolSunrise03.jpg

<4>
Workers' outpost slash hut
Reminds me of a farmer's shelter
In the middle of crop fields

25042010PunggolSunrise04.jpg

<3> is my favourite, very powerful image.

<5>
I'm gonna let the pano run
Because sometimes that's just what they gotta do

<6>
Over yonder fields is the Misty Forest
Where the will-o'-the-wisp lie in wait for the night
