Finally managed to get to this stall...

DSC00374.jpg

I dun care what our M'sian frens say abt the origin of Laksa, this lemak style of Laksa is quintessentially Singaporean, invented by Janggut of Katong, and this stall is opened by his family..

absolutely delectable, absolutely Singaporean... Happy National Day !

Hi, nope, no tripod for me for sure :p

My camera and lens I shoot all my food pics with:

Usually shoot at F4 or f5.6, anything from ISO 200 to 1600 max. Shutter speed at minimum of 1/40, if not will usually see motion blur..

Ovaltinemilo: thanks ! Share your good food tips too !

who says Seng Kang got no nice food ? This CKT is the dry type.. in fact, almost no 'gravy' at all, but still superbly and skillful fried, with generous amts of lapcheong, chives, cockles and bits of lard !

well, the mee kia is quite nice, and comes in two versions : with Black Sauce and without ... personally prefer the one without, cuz I like the chilli, very fiery and savoury...the black sauce is sweet, but I think dilutes the chilli... the uncle actually mixes the sambal up with the noodles before serving... I like :)

Fishball noodles vry yumyum oh, i lyke :)

Last, and my favourite... the Beef Bourguignon with Root Vegetables and Mixed Green

DSC02005_zpsfe503fab.jpg

each beef slice was super tender, and with the rich sauce drizzled over, was simply divine. Special mention also goes to the little bowl of saute potato, fragrant with butter and milk .. superb !
