Me not so worry about my hamster's eye cos everytime I shoot, that rodent dun even give my camera look....

Hahaha.... but that may be bec your hamster is quite smart and knows that it should look away given that the strange contraption its owner carries and is pointing at it emits a bright painful light as and when the owner has inclination to produce it!

i always photograph my 4 hamsters, usually to make them look at the camera u have to dangle some yummy food infront of them :bsmilie: flash is bounced at around 75degrees.. no omni bounce or flash card is used
