Haha, failed attempt in 2006 & 2007.
Will 2008 suffer the same fate? I must try hard hard! :bsmilie:

Let's start on Valentines' Day yeah!

All pics taken with point and shoot camera. :bsmilie:

February 14 - Rustic Urban

February 17 - Soaring Free

Thanks.

Sorry for such distortion as using P&S Camera (Although I already deliberately tried not to use the edge of the frame by placing the frame in mind in the middle and subsequently crop the image).
Had better perspective ones, but on other subjects / viewpoint of the series leh.

If you mean the vertical tilt, it is deliberate to tilt 'slightly'. 2 reasons. One is to compensate slightly the building on the right most. But more importantly, to make the grannie on the wheelchair to really like facing to the sky and soaring high. Thus giving a sense of like 'breaking free' of the wheelbound-ed-ness.

If your first two shots are what we are likely to see from you,
I hope your APAD this year won't suffer a relapse.:bsmilie:
"Soaring Free" is

Lol... I HOPE NOT TOO!! (Ok, today I am a bit tired due to humid weather. ;-p Don't think have update)

i get what you mean, and i think i see where you're coming from, the tilt makes things very different. my only gripe is that the background is affected as well - i.e. if the tilt was present but not obvious and slight, that is, significant, then the viewer would see it as being deliberate. otherwise, it seems like a mistake gone uncorrected. don't get me wrong, the positioning of the grandmother is definitely much better than when corrected, like so:

(let me know if you want me to remove)

but when uncorrected, i find the lean of the hdb flats in the distance very disconcerting. somehow after correction, the positioning of the kites in the skies are not so aesthetically pleasing though, because the picture ends up a little unbalanced. hrm.

Thanks night86mare.

No worries, don't have to remove. Let all viewers get the best of both worlds! ;-)

LOl, thanks ar. Was walking to your car that day, the scene is calling out to me man.

Sorry for the utterly lack of updates. Financial Year closing. Everyone super busy.

Haha, and which lab are you in?
