Under Message application>click your menu button>"Settings"> scroll to "Notifications"> make sure box is checked> then select your ringtone....

Nope it's the delivery report he wants.

Message App>Menu button>Settings>under "Text Message (SMS) Settings", check Delivery Reports.

Hi scholesville,

Thanks for the response. The "Notifications" is checked, but it doesn't have the "Message sent" bubble. Any idea where did I go wrong ? Thanks.

Hi brapodam,

Thanks for your response. No, this is not what I wanted. I wanted the "message sent" bubble, just like Win Mo. I have tried the setting recommended by scholesville but it doesn't have the "message sent" bubble :(

I don't think by default Android SMS sending process works that way. It would throw a failure notification when message was not able to send out.

Hi lenrek,

Thanks for response.

I was reading the following forum and it seems possible :

http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/80279-message-sent-successfully.html

The method is the same as mentioned by scholesville. However, that does not work on my
A10 :(

on the htc desire (froyo) its "messages / menu / settings / sent notification". a message icon will appear in the notification bar when a message is sent. it worked for me but not sure if it is a htc thing or a froyo thing.

HI scholesville,

I gave up after 30 pages :(

Mostly are sms count or receive notification. Still no sent notification after 30 pages :(

Actually, what Bradopam showed "The Delivery Status" method will actually show you a a quick bubble message at your homescreen after each successful sent message.

Or you can try this app "Handcent SMS" it has the sent notifications you are looking for... hope this helps..

Hi madmacsm

Thanks for your response. For A10, when in messaging / menu, it will have only Compose or Delete Threads options. Nothing else :(

Hi scholesville,

Thanks for your response.

The "Delivery Status" also does not work. :dunno:
After sending - no notification
After recipient open the sms - also no notification

Will try out the Handcent SMS tonight, no administrative rights on office notebook :(

Why do you need office notebook? You can download and install it to your phone straight from Android Market.
