thanks man... saw him preparing the rope, knew he is going to throw so switched to burst mode and this was the best out of the burst...;) that was my first impression when I reviewed on computer as well, the OOF rope really looks like light painting...:bsmilie:

IR + HDR? lol... let the man explain himself... :D

the faraway clouds looks really nice.

yeh it is done using a hoya R72 IR filter, didn't do hdr on this (maybe i should try :think:) did a channel swapping and the usual levels, contrast and cropping.
maameemoomoo, you can read and look at more IR stuff here to understand more about IR photography. maybe you can try it as well... really fun, love the surreal results and sometime reveals a beauty that only appears in a different light!;)
below is similar picture, done with a polarizer instead of IR filter. just that the IR one took 30sec exposure:sweat:

thanks man... :bsmilie: actually shot the sparkles wide open with a star 8 filter... tot looked a bit fake though... but did tried shooting with a small aperture... the effect was not obvious...
