if u buy in malaysia, u can ask for a tourist warranty then later u just convert it to local warranty when u are back in Singapore.
Is it different practise? Because I know that if buy from HK and get the tourism warranty, don't need convert again in SG.
maybe you do not need to bring down to convert it to local warranty. since u have the tourist warranty, then just bring the tourist warranty if u need to service your camera. Sony will register ur tourist warranty when you bring down. That is what been told by Sony Singapore.

- Sony A900 + F58 flash + 1original battery going for RM9999 = SGD4236
- Some lens prices are actually cheaper than the price posted. Just go click on the "Buy Now" buttons and you'll see in your checkout cart that the lens prices are about 10%-20% cheaper.
Eg. DT11-18mm is posted at RM2799 (SGD1186), in the checkout cart it appeared as RM2399 (SGD1016)
70-200mmG is posted at RM8599 (SGD3643!!!), in the checkout cart it appeared as RM6699 (SGD2838)

Do you mean A200 with double kit? Coz I just get a quote from one JB camera shop, I can get A300K at about RM1850.
The Sony price at JB is cheaper than HK now due to the strong HK dollars now. I can relate my economy theory now: currency up, export drop! :bsmilie:
The Comex is coming. At that time, I can decide buy here or buy at JB. Don't understand why SG always sell more expensive than neighbours. :cry:

Juz to share that I've got my A700 body for RM3650 at JB few weeks back.. So base on exchange rate S$1 to RM2.37... It cost me about S$1550/-
It came with tourist warranty(upon request),1 extra batt and lcd protector... According to the shop..Can go lower if you wanna forgo e extra batt... But I noticed that the lenses there r abit x compared sg
