Along Orchard Road

My pleasure:) I think you should think about publishing a book. I've never seen a book with street photography in Singapore. Have you ever though about it? I really think that your work is at a level necessary for publication. Maybe the photos would need some editing in the sense of putting them together in a sequence and adding some word description but technically and content wise they are excellent. I would buy such a book:)

Hi Toonz

I really love the colors of your photos. Is that what they call HDR? Can you share with me how to achieve results like photos no.23 56 57? Maybe give me some pointers where I can google and study about. I really like the feel of them.

Thanks alot!

no that's not hdr and i've yet to learn it;)
in terms of pp, there is really no fix way of doing, its all about personal preference.
what i will normally do is i will adjust brightness/contrast, follow by saturation, then color balance and sometimes i may want to add a color filter for the fun of it. the key thing here is to keep on experimenting on the software. you can try to google on photo bleaching and explore further from there :)

i love the eyes details of your shots.. very expressive! =)

really nice series.. really wonder how you can bring yourself to point at strangers and shoot. must learn to be braver.

Wow. You inspired me wanting to go for another round of street photography session soon ;)

Really well done...For once I did try street photographing but...like many before who face the same problem as me...when I rise my Camera, everyone "in the line of fire" start to avoid...turn around...stare...on alert. I failed totally. How do you mange to be so "stealth". Did you ever encounter any confrontation from the ppl u shots.?

Can I assume that u didnt use any flash?

well, don't be afraid. take it as you are doing a project and create an idea on what you want to capture. is it a smiling face? an angry face? or someone rushing somewhere? having a theme in mind will help you to focus and you will eventually know how to go about pointing your cam to your object. :)

i havent encounter any confrontation yet and i hope not :sweat::sweat:

no flash was used otherwise people will really notice you:eek:
