Hi guys,
I had a darkroom sharing session some time last year (see http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319090&highlight=darkroom. Haven't had the time to do another one but I will have time come end November.
Essentially it's an almost FOC (free of charge) sharing session in which I will essentially guide the participants on working in a darkroom (my darkroom) and at the end of the night (darkroom can only be used at night) produce their own prints.
Things that I'll cover include multigrade printing, dodging & burning, misc tips and tricks. I had total beginners churning out prints by the end of the night. So newbies don't be worried.
It's not totally FOC because of the cost involved, so all that I ask is that the cost be split amongst the participants. (roughly $10-20/pax I think)
Why am I doing this FOC? It's just a way of paying it forward and to spread the love of traditional B&W photography (also a good excuse for me to fire up the enlarger again! I personally hardly do traditional prints too.. :embrass
I was also considering just having a whole day thing, morning/afternoon go out for a shoot, come back to my studio and develop, dry the prints and at night print them. We'll see how it goes.
Well anyway if anyone's interested just leave your name here and I'll see how many sessions I will need to organise. Each session I think maximum 3 people (excluding myself).
