yap... its only that ocbc gives the first month free... so cost works out to $1,374 from the rrp... but think that the promotion has ended...

I just collected a E510 Dual Lens Kit from this OCBC promotion today. Personally think it's a great deal at $1374. Includes a free 2G CF card and a Lowepro Slingshot 300 that is "gigantic".
According to brochure, promotion ends on 31st Jan but if anyone interested, can call OCBC to check whether still can apply.
Or dudette. Anyway, unless you really need the stuff that comes in a package, just try to negotiate for a price that excludes "freebies". Interestingly, price goes down whenever "free" items are removed. Not to mention the guys at one shop were saying that the uv filter was worth $50 (it was a common $15 filter, tops). So if the sales guy tries to pitch freebies as worth $xx, just remember that if you don't need it, it's worth $0. If you're getting a freebie CF card, maybe try for something like the Ultra II or so.

Thks. Hv started snapping once the battery was fully charged. This is my first DSLR. So much to learn and get used to but really enjoying it.
I faxed in my order on 21st Jan but did not hear from OCBC for the whole week so I called them up the next week. Did a re-fax of the order and they processed it within the week including receiving the letter. Lesson learnt: Fax order, call to confirm.
