Is it cash price or can use credit cards?

include lah. Do you know its now an offence to quote price without indicating GST?:bsmilie:

Is this truly an offence?
A few of the shops in Peninsula along the CP stretch always quote, then add GST after the customer agrees on the price. 2 shops did it to me, I ended up buying from CP instead. Hmmm...

You can read up on Section 6.2, IRAS’ “GST General Guide For Traders”, revised edition December 2006:)

Alan Photo quoted $1300 with GST. Just came back from Funan. As for the LCD, its does not seem as good as the e500. Colour not as rich.

The IS seems to work as confimed by Tomcat. Its also signficantly heavier than the e500.

I tried the e510 with the 14-42, 14-54 and 50mm.

Do they still have stocks?

I didn't buy so they still have it when I left. Haha...

well if you really 'buay tahan" these shops, you can report them to the authorities:bsmilie: However, I will just give these shops a miss

I usually just ask them a second time to be sure: "with or without GST??"
So far, no shop has not coughed up a straight answer to that question.

Yes, it is in Guangzhou.:) The first picture is the factory. E510, E410 & u770SW are manufactured there. The factory is about 33415 sq m in area, with labour force of 4770, majority ladies in their 20's. (:bsmilie: I don't know what's the significance of highlighting the age, but I guess majority trust that younger ladies have better eyesight to inspect optics and more meticulous)

The first 4 pictures with the operators wearing finger gloves show them assembling the IS module for E510. Subsequent pictures show them assembling the body, the mirror, card slot, viewfinder etc.

Then there is a picture showing the operator inspecting the AF function via viewfinder. (I hope they check more then AF:sweatsm: )

Finally there is the packaging stage. The pictures are pretty self explanatory.

Right at the bottom shows their factory canteen, the operators have a choice of the regular set lunch that costs 1 -2 RMB or the special set at 5 RMB:bsmilie: . Its all cashless transaction using IC card. How come Olympus so "niao", other factories in China that I have visited provide meals free:sweat:

Maybe the meals provided by Oly are better quality?

The food should at least be dust-free. ;p

Hmmm sudden flood of Oly cams in buy and sell.

I wonder why...

Anyone willing to trade a E-500 for a E-510? LOL. :D I WANT THE IS! My hands are never stable.

I think lots of ppls wanna upgrade to the new models :D

yes. considering! but would wait price drop a bit and after new firmware released.

BTW, for those who can not understand different languages like Japanese, you may try to copy the URL into Google translate. (for Japaneses, so far i just found that can be translated into English). It can be read although there are many bugs.
