Thanks for your recommendation.
I've looked at the LX3 before.
Think it's a great camera just that the price tag is above my budget.
Guess I would still go for the A480. :)

wishing you great luck with the cam,

and if possible, please pm me your experience and i will share it here with the rest!

I have just tried out the Ricoh Digital III,

will be reviewing it soon!

i'll really go for canon over panasonic....
best reason is becos panasonic uses lithium batts
at least those my friends used do
and as far as compacts are concern canon color seems to be nicer:thumbsup: more natural
just an opinion:D

Well, i won't call this compact. The leica digilux-4 has even it's own line of accessories, cases and even limited edition series,
such as the safari green one which comes with the leica nylon bag, and the titanium version, only 275 pieces worldwide, with the calf leather casing.
These compacts have became a fashion icon, and everyone wants to own one.

Well to me, a compact camera means it's smaller and it has a fixed lens. Nothing to do with it having more or less features.

Well, since this thread is a couple months old,is there an update to it? I mean there's new compact cameras out now,it would be interesting to hear your opinions on them since i enjoyed reading it :)

so sorry, been busy with exams

when i get my hands on new ones this holidays,

promise to add more, on my list will be the new IXUS 200
