Alan Photo in Funan

Just went to AP Funan this afternoon to get the 580EX. Bought from a guy called Jason. Very nice and helpful. Very patient too! :thumbsup:

I was served by Jason yesterday, despite carrying an my friend's ultra large lowepro bag and tripod in, he served me when I requested to see the Nikon Coolpixes 3700 and 4100. He didn't seem to know much indepth on the cameras, but his attitude and service was very good, no black faces after 30-40 mins of entertaining me and my not purchasing.

I really intend to get a DC but can't decide, will be going back there when I can make up my mind. Prices are rather competitive though, much cheaper than what CP offered me, but just can't decide what to get

Have you tried the Canon "A" series digicam? IMHO better than the coolpix equivalent, though I use Nikon DSLR

I am quite surprised that ESPN didn't try out the Nikon AFS 200/2 ED-IF VR lens that was on display on one of the glass shelves.

Thought that you would as you are a nikon fan.

Anyway, would still have to test the service there more before I buy anything from them. So far, I have to admit that their service is pretty good and decent.

Hi PageUp, actually am looking for one that can be brought around easily and be put into the pocket, thus looking at flush design apart from the A series, although I *strongly* agree they're value for money, but the grip does protrude, will decide after I view a few more

Not sure leh. I didn't check with SLS branch. Got my 580EX for $770 w/ GST.

I have the Coolpix 3700. It's cheap and works fine. Some cons are the noisy high iso and the non-display of settings like aperture and shutter speeds.

I was the one who bought the 580EX from you about 2-3 weeks ago. This is indeed a hell of a good flash gun. Tested out in MotorShow 2004. You may like to take a look at my photos here.

you need to email them for quote then can get good price.
try verbal only if you know them well.
i enjoy good deal and service from them.
