Due to many enquiries on MF cum panaromic scanning,i have invested in a Imacon Drum scanner.
Pricing will be at least 40% off Pro lab for CS members!
anything from X pan format till 4x5 can be drum scanned.
Still in the process of setting up and learning how to operate it. :D

i bought a refurbished set from kodak which is cheaper, brand new is US$15k
the scanner performs a Virtual drum scanning by bending it over a drum to get an even scan.
this scanner can scan a 35mm full frame without any problem, the whole scanning area is up to 5 x 7,but i bring in this imacon mainly for panaromic and above..35mm still using another scanner.
having some conflict with the SCSI card..
kodak professional guy will come nx week to rectify..
will work out the prices only after i master it ;)

ok I need to know your SCSI controller..

your SCSI controller ID
CDRW ID
Scanner ID

also your interface Eg, U160/U320/UW/U2W. type of cables. and where did you terminate.. and the controller that you are using.. I believe you got somwhere along that line wrong..

er... think I might as well explain to you now..

for 16bit devices.. usually scanner.. your ID needs to be below 7.. your controller has to be 7 else the UW/ scsi-2 is not able to located the controller as the previous generation of controllers only allow up to 7 devices including the controller .. the 32/64bit controllers allow allocation up to 15 devices per channel.

then next is your CDRW/CDROM/DVDROM if it's not U2W/U160/U320, it then belongs to the old type..

note, even thou it's 68pin doesnt mean that it is.. it also depends on the cable.. eg, if you plug U160 68pin with a u2w 68pin cable, you still connect as u2w.

u160/u320 can be identified by looking at the cable.. the wires are twisted. the u2w are not twisted, they look like the UDMA cables.

now, the termination. the last device has to be terminated.

now.. if you are connecting the scanner via the external, the scanner needs to be terminated.

if you are lost let me know... haha......
