Is there any pro using a FX on macro then?
another question... if the subject is under low light .. is it advisable to push the flash power, ISO or both or maybe decrease the f value?

Personally, i wil prefer the flash not to overpower the ambience and adjust ur FEV accordingly for a more natural looking lighting on top of ur subjects, with practce and experience, this will be relatively a macro shooter's instinct..
