I have ROD for 10 years already. Until now, when I tell people that I was a commando officier for only 6 month, people still give me that little bit of respect.
When I am 50 years old and I tell my children that I was a commando officer for 6 months, they also give me a little bit of respect too.
Even when I die, my grand children look at my Army pictures and they say that my grandfather was a commando officer. His friends will also give a little bit of respect.
Do you think it is worth it for the 6 months of service? You only live once, do what you think it is right to do and don't look back. "for honour and glory"
The famous clause "This is not your father ARMY". "What you wanted to be" is not equal to what you end up to be. I ended up in OCS and become a commando officer eventually.
wow super fit!
was told commandos officers must run 5km SOC?
How come dun have Cook and Clerk?
Can be a prison warden in a women's prison or not?
Hmmm... I think I know you leh, are you a biker? I mean motorbike....
Correction, All Commando do the 5Km SOC after their 1st year.
During the Leader course (Sgt) you do the 10Km SOC with progressive training. It starts from 6Km, 7Km, 8Km, 9km, 10Km.....then the trial Test before the actual Test. All done twice, first with vest n slack with boots (mind you the old heavy boot) then second time upgrade to SBO, weapon.
Officer get to do all the above one more time after OCS during the conversion course because they are the special one :sweatsm:
Do you need to go through the painful process like what they do to eunuch?
To be honest, I don't even KNOW what to expect when I went to BMT.
No forum access, no friends, no relatives, no one willing to help. I juz.... went in.
anyone here follows the motto of...We Dare?![]()
I heard the Navy Diver course also 'see-bay-siong'! Must go through some 'Hell week' with 4 hours of sleep per day.
