What's your dolly definition? Some people refer metal tracks as dolly.

Or you're talking about tripod on wheels? Or full pedestal?

For 'tripod on wheels, check out Vinten Pro-5 with its dolly, or the Manfrotto equivalent (they' the same product, different brand). Slightly cheaper will be Japanese made Libec.

For bigger cameras, check out Vinten Vision 8, 11, 100, etc. with dolly.

Thanks guys, I'm actually looking at a dolly with tracks, not the tripod with wheels kind, for more smoothness. I already have one of those.

Looking for something like this: http://glideshot.com/products_trackdollies.html (and roughly around that budget plus minus). Or other similar 'indie' dollies.

for your budget, i think you can commission those metal workshop to build one for you. plenty of drawings and plans on the net. just google for it.

Was hoping there may be ready-made ones available in Singapore to avoid some QC hassle.

Hmm $500 for track abit impossible, even if second hand.

few years back bought a set for like 6-7k and that was like a budget one...

Rent from Film Equipment Gallery or something if u need once awhile.

trying renting a micro dolly. used it for a few corporate and wedding.
you will be amazed by the weight of the kit, its definitely lighter than
a usual tripod .

i don't think tracks are appropriate for weddings. too many people walking around.

Nope. Not for weddings. Would like the convenience of picking up a dolly (if affordable), as and when, for various small scale projects.
