i don't think it's quite fair to compare 18-200mm with a 70-300 as they serve different purpose :)

i am using 70-300 non VR lense for shooting macros with Raynox-250 and the result is excellent. can check some flower macros on my signature below.

Be very careful when the price difference from an established and well regarded shop by CSers is big. Probably have some catch. Like grey set.

Thanks! but what's the difference in grey set compare to black? Is there any other recommended place to buy lenses?

Grey means without Nikon Singapore warranty. You will have to incur the full cost of servicing during the period of warranty.

actually hor... with regards to this, i am damn curious...

IF a grey set versus a local set(Withoutwarranty) is being sent in for servicing, does it cost the same OR would the grey set cost more for repairs??

I heard Samuel from John 3:16 saying that recently. he said its MORE exp to repair grey set versus a local set.

In my opinion, 70- 300mm VR is a wonderful lens. The VR makes the following shots (cropped) possible.

Just to check whether these have been post processed. I am contemplating this lens, and your reply would help.
