with such little info about you, not sure what is your skill level and gears use, what type of private shoot you are looking for.....
all I can only suggest is remember to bring your camera, lens, flash and modifier, memory cards and batteries, reflectors, posing reference, water bottle, enough cash to pay your model and make sure your model show up for shoot.
I am new to clubsnap. I am a photography enthusiast. Been shooting for a while and trying to gain more experience along the way. Hope you guys can guide me along!

Theme(s), ideas, creativity, backup plan for rain, backup for too much sun, site visit before you go there, right timing ...
Maybe you should attend a couple of model shootings as offered here in the forum. Could give you a good inside view into the preparations. Copy what you think you need for your shoot.
hi
whenever i engage a model for private shoot.i do the following
1. communication=need ti understand each other(themes, location, duration of the shoot. etc)
2.negotiation=if tfcd of paid.
3.transportation=can be under negotiation
4.my equipment=prepare all my things that i might or will use during shoot
5.have fun=as much as possible during private shoot i talk to my model for whatever topic.at least it can ease the tension (or just simply to make comfortable to each other.)
6.show some respect
7.at least give him/her a snack & drinks(if the shoot turns out right i treat there for lunch or dinner)
8.i also give them a copy the pics
